I just ordered your Leda's Dream pattern today. It is so beautiful. I also got a good laugh out of your terror alert on the bottom of your blog. DH works for Homeland Security and I am a Flight Attendant and will share this "terror" alert (about the only one to make us smile)

Hi - I'm just wondering about the difficulty level of your shawl patterns? I'm learning to do lace knitting but am not sure what they will be like to do for a beginning lace knitter? I'm ambitious though. Can you give a skill guide with the patterns so that we can know before we buy? Thanks!
I would also like to know if the shehezerade and ledo patterns are in written form or chart only. Again a learning disabled person. I am a programmer for a living but cant translate charts in my head for some reason.
I will buy both patterns if they are pdf and written.

Hi, I would be interested to buy both - I can't read charts very fluently - I tend to cheat and look at a picture of the finished article to guide me. I would like to learn to read a chart more quickly and think I could do it by checking the written instructions when stuck. I love all your patterns and am dying to give them a try. I spin my own wool, so do you give a wpi indication in the patterns? Thanks. Maureen

hi Melanie! I've recently bought your Hanami stole pattern - it looks absolutely stunning! I've just cast on for it, but I'm having trouble getting the 1st row of the basketweave section right.. I seem to keep getting 4 sts too many at the end of the row. Any ideas? (I know it's me.. sigh)

MS2&3 member here trying to order the Moon Dance apttern since the suri alpaca says it really wants to be that shawl.. PayaPal won't ccept my passwrods & when I ask for the password clue, their e-mail never shows up in my box. Any other way to order form you?

My hubby brought me Leda's Dream and I am excited this is my second "lace" pattern project I am working on the MS3 Stole and starting over again. Was on row 65 when I noticed a mistake, hey that is 65 rows of a practice run and now I should be able to fly through it lol. Looking forward to knitting and purchasing more of Melanie's awesome patterns!

Hi, LOVE the hanami stole. question though, can it be modified to be a scarf? either modified from the current patt based on st count repeats or (if you're into that sort of thing) any interest in writing a hanami scarf patt? my targeted recipient doesn't do stoles and i think it would be perfect for her as a scarf. i would appreciate the feedback. jpbarnet@uwm.edu Thanks!
