Visions of Sugarplums Sock Collection

Just in time for a last minute Christmas gift (or something special to treat yourself), a new sock pattern: The Visions of Sugarplums Sock Collection! Two, top down sock designs are included in this pattern. Stitch patterns for both designs are shown in chart and written out format, making these accessible to any knitter.

Visions of Sugarplums Sock

The first design is Visions of Sugarplums. Cables twist back and forth down the length of the sock, reminiscent of peppermint twists. The background formed between the cables remind me of bon bons, making a sweet, yet calorie free tribute to the Sugar Plum Fairy. Knit in DK or Sport weight yarn at 6 stitches to the inch in stockinette stitch (I used size US 2.5/3.0 mm to get gauge), these socks work up quickly. This design might be just what you're looking for to whip up a quick gift. (Shown in Woolarina Wooly Medium Sock Yarn in Yarn 4 Socks Sock Club exclusive colorway.)

New Fallen Snow Socks

The second design is New Fallen Snow. These socks look like fresh snow in the early morning hours, when it has been shaped into fluffy peaks by only the wind. A repetitive design, this is perfect for a portable sock project. These socks are knit in Fingering weight yarn to a gauge of 8 stitches per inch on US 1's (2.25 mm). (Shown in Louet Gems Fingering Weight in the Cream colorway.)

Perfect for a last minute gift, or for getting a jump on next year's knitting, these socks are fun to knit and easy to wear.

This sock collection was the pattern for The Yarn 4 Socks Sock Club in December of 2008.

Beautiful, as always!

How the heck did you design and knit these socks while getting ready to move?

Beautiful. I love them both. I am still working on my first ever sock so hopefully I will finish it before 2010 and then will be able to move on.
