Socks

image
I’ve finished my first Snow White sock and I’ve started the second.  Back in Semester One of Loopy Academy, it was suggested that we use a new cast on for one of the projects, so I tried the Old Norwegian Cast On for the first time (I believe it’s also called the Twisted German Cast On).  I’ve kept using it on socks since then.  It’s related to the long tail cast on, but it’s a little more elastic.  Just goes to show that while I’ve been knitting socks for years, I can still find a new way to do things!

I can't even tell you how much I love your striped socks! So happy, so cheerful, so STRIPEY! I gotta finish the blah ones I'm working on, and get some snappy self-striping yarn...
