Back to the Mystery

image
I've gotten back to work on my Mystery Shawl (it's the Westknits MKAL for 2017).  All the clues have been released but I'm not reading ahead.  I'm currently working on Clue 2, Section 3 which is brioche!  I've never done brioche knitting before so this is exciting for me.  It took me a bit to figure out what I was doing (and to get far enough to see what it was supposed to look like), but it's fun to work.  The brioche section is the one all the way to the left that looks like horizontal ribs.  I decided to not really stripe in this section so I'm using two multicolored yarns together for this part.  Learning how to brioche and striping colors seemed like a little much all at the same time.  It's exciting to work on this project, not knowing what's going to happen.  Also, I'm having a lot of fun with the colors!
