More Brioche

I'm just about ready to bind off my first brioche shawl of the year, so I decided to start another one!  I love knitting brioche, it's got such a fun rhythm, but in laceweight yarn it takes forever to get anywhere.  The finished fabric is like a cloud of softness (so, totally worth it).  This time I'm knitting in fingering weight yarn.*

Cinnabar

This is the Cinnabar shawl knit in Hedgehog Fibres Skinny Singles in Sorry, Not Sorry and Pinky Swear.  It is just as eye-searingly bright in person as it is in the photo.  My projects in 2021 were all about color (except what I knit for Mickael and Caleb - those were all about gray), and apparently, I'm not finished with color yet.  Most years my projects seem to be pretty balanced between bright colors, muted colors, and neutrals, but right now it's still all color all the time.

*I realize if I really want brioche to knit up quickly, I could work it in worsted weight or even heavier.  I also realize that I live in Texas and the chances of me actually being able to use anything that heavy are 100% not happening.  Maybe people in Minnesota can use worsted weight brioche.
