A New, New Pair of Socks

Just a warning - there are going to be socks around here for a bit.  If you aren't into socks, I'm sorry, but they're easy to pick up and put down, and they don't dangle downwards too far, so they work pretty well with puppy naps and they don't taunt him into attacking them.  This will probably be the summer of socks.

Dotty Socks

I finished another pair.  I started these at the first of last week and finished them up yesterday afternoon.  These are the Dotty Socks, knit in Sweet Georgia Yarns Tough Love Sock in Velvet Elvis (a gorgeous dark Blue Violet color) and some of my leftover Dream in Color Smooshy in Mermaid Shoes for heels and toes.

Dotty Socks

The stitch pattern is pretty subtle and would have shown up better in a lighter color, but they were more interesting to knit than a plain stockinette stitch sock.  I'm going to try to remember this one when I have a busy sock yarn and I'm tempted to work them as plain, vanilla, stockinette.  I guess just this little bit of stitch pattern is enough to keep my brain occupied.  I also think this would work with self striping yarns, where you don't want the stitch pattern to compete with the yarn.
