Dr Suess

I finally finished these yesterday! I really like the way they came out, but I didn't enjoy doing the tops of them. I really hate fun fur yarns and didn't like knitting with this one. What I did love about these socks is that the stripes matched up almost row for row. Its kinda creepy the way they matched so perfectly, but I'm happy with the way they came out, and I don't have to knit with fun fur again, so I can shove that ball of yarn way in the back of my stash (no, it doesn't matter how much I hate it, I can't throw it out. Its yarn. That would be wrong. I'm allergic to acrylic, but I actually have 2 balls of acrylic yarn in the stash from when I was little and didn't know I was allergic to it.) Now that I have one less pair of socks to work on, I can finish a few other things up before I start another pair. Or maybe I'll go cast on another pair. Socks don't count after all...

I love Dr. Seus. Especially Thing 1 and Thing 2.
Really beautiful socks.

Fabulous socks! Is the fur just a few rows of knitting at the top or did you have to do something special for that? I have a pattern for a pair with pointed/curled up toes that the fur would be excellent on!
