Knitting Olympics Closing Ceremonies - A Parade Of Socks

Today the Olympics are over which means the Knitting Olympics are also finished. I knit 4 pairs of socks over the last 16 days and here they are all nice and blocked.Merino Lace Socks from Interweave Knits Summer 2003. Knit in KnitPicks Color Your Own Fingering Weight.

River Rapids Socks from Sockbug. Also knit in KnitPicks Color Your Own, Fingering Weight.

Generic Sock Pattern. Knit in Spurs and Petticoats colorway of Painted Toes Sock Yarn by The Knotty Sheep.

Olympic Flame Socks AKA Hot Rod Socks. My own design, knit in Dale Baby Ull. I'm aiming for Tuesday to post this pattern!

This was so much fun, I hate to wait for 2 more years for another Olympics! And just in case you're wondering, no, I'm not burned out on socks. I cast on for a pair for Caleb yesterday afternoon!

All of your socks are wonderful! I am utterly amazed that you did four pair in 16 days! And kept the house up! Bravo, I say.

In any case, I am going to anxiously await the posting of the flame socks as I have a friend who is our group's official fire tender... He really deserves a pair of socks like this.

I'm in Heathsville, Virginia.

Mel! It's taken my breath away. I SALUTE the parade.

Will you still read my blog even though I *gulp* didn't even finish ONE pair? That's what I get for trying to do too many things at once I guess.

You inspire me! Sock on sister!

Hugs...Aurora

Melanie - Your socks are wonderful. I am going to wait until you get the pattern posted and then order it along with your beautiful Leda's twist pattern. I just had to write in because I used the link posted on the Townsend sock group to get to your blog. I read it as pinkle-mon-twist and figured you chose some strange rasta phrase from a bob marley song or something. I felt like such a dope when I saw Pink Lemon Twist.
