Now we're working on sleeves!

redcardisleeves2

I got past the hem and refigured the sleeve increases so now I'm actually working on the sleeves! I decided that I wouldn't do the bell cuffs like the pattern calls for because I was afraid the hem might try to roll up, so I just went with a classic sleeve shape. A little bit of math and an arm measurement (in cm) and I was ready to go. At the moment, I'm about 1/4 of the way to the sleeve cap shaping and since I've done the hem and the refiguring, I think it should really start to move along nicely now. I also got the ends woven in on the body part of the sweater and it is blocking right now.

I have a question - this weekend Mickael and I watched the last Pirates of the Caribbean movie (At World's End or something like that), it's been a while since we watched the second one, but did anyone else get really confused? I mean there were whole parts where we just sat there and looked at each other wondering what was happening? Should we rewatch it? Should we watch the bonus features, will that explain it? Is there a Pirates for Dummies? Help!

World's End makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Be glad that you did not pay full price (plus popcorn) to get into the theater to see it. I went with my boyfriend and we actually looked at each other in the middle of the movie and wondered what was going on.

I was a little confused by the movie but my husband and the boys watched both of the prior movies before going to the third so they totally understood what was going on.

You just need to watch the second one again. I felt the same way when I saw the 3rd in theaters, but when it came out on video DH and I watched all 3 in a row. Makes perfect sense then.

Larry and I did the same thing part way into the movie. We have decided we need to rewatch the second one to refresh our memories as to the whole Davy Jones' heart thing, etc - then maybe we will understand number 3!!

There was a LOT going on in Pirates 3. If Pirates 2 isn't fresh in your mind, you will get lost. I agree with the others, rewatch 2 (1 is still the best one, but Cap'n Jack is worth all three and Cap'n Jack AND Barbosa together in 3? bliss).

I agree, watch Pirates 2 again and then re-watch the last one. There's a lot going on in 3 so it takes a bit to get it all going in a linear fashion. :)

My DH and I watched Pirates 3 this weekend also and felt exactly the same! LOL! Now I don't feel so bad, that I wasn't the only one. All the stuff about Calypso... huh? I'm sure watching Pirates 2 again would help, but then what if it doesn't and then I would feel even stupider! I think I'm just going to have to scour the internet for an article that explains what happens. I'll let you know if I find anything. Good luck!

No, it's not you. I was totally, TOTALLY confused during Pirates 3. To be fair, I'm not a huge fan of this trilogy, but the third one just had waaaay to much back story, and frankly didn't make a whole lot of sense. I mean, come on, in what universe do pirates become the symbol of freedom on the high seas?!?!
