A Look Back At Oblique

oblique back2

Or maybe that should be "A Look At The Back of Oblique." Either way, here it is for where I'm at. (I probably just gave several English teachers heart attacks - it's amazing what being uncaffeinated can do to the English language!)

I'm past the bust increases and have about 3 inches to go before I start the raglan shaping, so I feel like I'm going pretty quickly on this piece. To answer a question from the comments the other day, I am doing the twisted rib stitch as the pattern calls for. I don't think I've changed anything on this pattern except for lengthening the sleeves a bit (which is something I do on most patterns). I'd love to get this finished this weekend and get started on the fronts, but I think the fronts will be a bit more complicated with the waist shaping, neckline shaping, and raglan shaping.

Finn sends thank you's to everyone for all his birthday wishes. He didn't get a chance to pet Ramius, but he did chase him a bit and got his nose smacked for his trouble, but don't worry, Ramius doesn't use claws for his nose smacks. (Sometimes I think if he would give Finn a good nose smack with claws extended he would save himself a lot of trouble, but so far he's been a very sweet kitty.)

Have a great weekend!

FYI - the sleeves on Oblique tend to run long as is. I believe, on average, that they gain 2-3" after blocking. So, you may end up with REALLY long sleeves!

I love the cream - it's going to be lovely when all finished.

P.S. Any chance we can see Chinese Lace modeled? I'm curious to see how it looks on person.

Very pretty! I'm looking forward to seeing it finished. (And I second the request for a modeled Chinese Lace shot.)

Maybe not a heart attack, but certainly palpitations.
