A Partial Sleeve

Today I present...

DSC04380
...the first sleeve of Coraline, so far. The needle is at the top of the picture (working on the Hiya Hiya 9" circs again) but if you look at the bottom of the picture, you can see the genius I-Cord edging. I've never done I-Cord edged sleeves before and honestly, I imagine that if you didn't have sleeve increases just above the I-Cord and were working the sleeves in stockinette, it would probably just roll on you (although I haven't swatched it that way, so who knows). With the shaping of the sleeve and the placement of the increases in this design though, it works beautifully. I still have to graft the beginning and ending of the I-Cord together, but I really like how neat and clean the edge looks with this treatment. Still loving the different tones of the yarn and the 9 inch circs are feeling less fiddly the more I mess with them.

Lookin' good! I love the shading of the yarn, too.
