June Knit Something of the Month

DSCN0213
I've started the second stitch pattern for my Aurentium Blossom Shawl.  I also got the first picture this week without a fur ball in it.  (They were wrestling with each other instead of "helping"me this morning.)  This is an interesting pattern (interesting in a good way) because it uses Star Stitches, which for some reason, I'm thinking are Estonian.  They aren't hard to do (as long as you count) and they do look really interesting all blocked out.  Unfortunately, they don't look all that interesting unblocked, so you'll have to trust me here.

Beautiful stitch ... beautiful blog! I think I found you on Flickr, but I've been immersed in looking at all the loveliness of your blog I forgot exactly how I found this. No matter, it's bookmarked and I look forward to reading more.

I'm in the same general area as you and I was wondering what and where are your favorite yarns shops? I'm familiar with The Wooley Ewe in Plano and would love to find more like it.

Star stitches look lovely. In fact last winter I had stitched a shrug out of this design.
