One More Summer Dress

image
I took a couple hours away from the Jih sleeves to sew up one more summer dress!  This is the McCall's 6886 pattern again with the same neckline modifications I made to the last one.  This was also the last fabric I had set aside for this dress.  I'm pretty sure there will be more of these next summer because it's the perfect summer dress.  The fabric is Art Gallery knits again (95% cotton, 5% spandex) from Hawthorne Threads.

I had cut out the dress a week or so ago and it was just sitting there waiting to be sewn up.  The actual sewing took less than two hours, including switching thread from my serger to the coverstitch machine.  See?  Perfect summer dress!

I'm hoping to get some sewing done this next month and my next project is another Moneta dress.  I picked up another Art Gallery knit print for that one.

Have a great weekend!
