Minkey/Tigger Socks continued

Over the weekend I finished the Tigger sock. This is the Tigger sock (of the Minkey/Tigger pair of socks) because Tigger came first. I've started the Minkey sock and I've done the ribbed cuff and am now on the seed stitch part. Obviously, these are going to be sock brothers instead of sock twins, but I think I can live with that. Ramius has pointed out that I haven't made a sock in his honor. I'm not sure if this offends him or if he was just pointing it out since he fell asleep right after he told me. The pale blue green sock yarn that I dyed a couple of weeks ago with the pink sock yarn matches his eyes so I should probably knit that as Ramius socks.

In more sock news, I've officially decided that I will be knitting 2 pairs of socks for the Knitting Olympics. I will be finding a Team USA Sock Knitting Button for the blog later. Now I just have to decide which socks to knit.

Have I mentioned that I'm loving the socks this year?

Hey Melanie!

Those socks look beautiful. I hate seed stitch myself, but you have obviously mastered it...perhaps with practice I could get better/faster?

I'm still struggling with #2 of Shadow (aka psychosock) and was wondering: how do you overcome SSS? Is it just a matter of overcoming the denial of it all? Sheer willpower? Therapy?

OK, I'm blogging instead of knitting AGAIN. I've got 27 1/2 hours to finish these things...

You found my socks!!! (hint, hint, hint!) They are gorgeous and I love how they look. I have finally found the perfect pattern for the yarn that you dyed for me, cascading leaves.... figures green yarn should have something to do with leaves, lol! But don't think this means I won't be designing some socks of my own, I'm collecting the data, working out some ideas, and then we'll see if I can calculate how to knit them right.

Those are lovely! There seems to be a Trekking epidemic around the knit blogs.

Very pretty colorway, I also really like the pattern. Where did you find it? I'm on a yarn diet, but books and such are still within limits. ;)
