Icarus To Be
I got quite a bit done on writing the pattern for Scheherazade (didn't even have to look up the spelling that time) yesterday, but the rough draft of a pattern isn't very interesting blog reading. Instead I'll show you a bit of stash enhancement and the parts of a shawl to be. This is going to be Icarus (I think its in the Summer 2006 IK). The yarn is Colinette's new Parisienne (laceweight kid mohair that can be substituted in any Kid Silk Haze pattern) in the New Storm colorway. I'm going to use the beads you see below the yarn, and the little bowl came from the bead store. They have a wonderful selection of tiny bowls to put your beads into so that your cat can get to them easier. I thought Ramius deserved a tiny bowl to knock beads out of, don't you think?

Your Icarus is going to be beautiful. I am knitting Wing of the Moth is a very similar shade if KSH (sans beads) and I love it!
Your color choice of yarn and beads is stunning. I cannot wait to see the progress on this one!!
Very, very pretty Melanie! Oooo la la - I can't wait to see this! Glad you are feeling better!
I bought 2 balls of Filaturo Di Crosa's "Baby Kid Mohair" in a simlar jade green. Love the color, and your Icarus is going to be GOR-GEOUS!
=:8
Between the yarn and the beads your Icarus will be gorgeous!
I can't wait to see your Icarus! Do you really think that it is wise to decrease the difficulty for Ramius. If you make it too easy he may get bored!
Oh I would love to hear more about the Parisienne yarn. I'm looking at different KSH type yarns for a shawl.
I love your color combination of the beads with the smoky blue of the yarn. I've already knit a scarf out of the Parisienne and it is yummy. I love the subtle colora variation and the bif fat halo of the mohair that seems to me to be bit more irregular than the KSH (hence a bit more textured in the end). I can't wait to see the finished shawl!
