Gussets

Francie socks 
I've knit past the gusset on the foot of my Francie sock.  The gusset for this sock is on the sole of the foot.  For the Smaug socks I did earlier this spring, half of the gusset shaping runs across the top of the foot.  The other half is in the more usual place, on the side of the heel.  I guess this is my year of strangely placed gussets.
